GREENMAN, M. D.
Dr.
David Greenman graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University
of Pennsylvania, where he was designated a Ben Franklin Scholar.
He attended the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Medical
School and interned at Cabrini Medical Center in New York City.
He completed a residency in ophthalmology at Manhattan Eye, Ear,
Nose and Throat Hospital, New York University Medical Center and
completed a retina fellowship at Tulane University Medical Center
with Dr. James Diamond. Dr. David Greenman attended the National
Institute of Health (National Eye Institute) in Bethesda, Maryland,
as a post-fellowship research associate performing research in new
technologies and methods in the treatment of macula degeneration,
diabetes, and uveitis. He will continue his research using the latest
technologies as part of his ophthalmology practice at Greenman Eye
Associates.
Dr. David Greenman
specializes in vitreo-retinal diseases, macula degeneration, diabetes,
diabetic retinopathy, ocular trauma, and uveitis.
David Greenman,
M.D. was a John B. Graham Honor Society Member for research in retinopathy
of prematurity at Chapel Hill Medical School. He is a Diplomate
of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American
Academy of Ophthalmology, American Association of Refractive and
Cataract Surgeons, Association of Research in Vision Organization,
the American Medical Association, and the North Carolina Medical
Society. David Greenman, M.D. is a reviewer for Retina, the journal
of vitreo-retinal diseases.
Dr. David Greenman
has presented several abstracts and published papers on Lasik surgery,
cataract surgery, central serous chorioretinopathy, and retinopathy
of prematurity at ARVO, Tulane University and the Journal of AAPOS.
Dr. David Greenman,
as a public service, is available to give free lectures on various
topics, including, "Diabetes: Warning Signs", "Macular
Degeneration and Retinal Detachment" and "The Secret to
Healthy Eyes in Seniors."
