MAX GREENMAN, M. D.

Max GreenmanDr. Max Greenman graduated Cum Laude from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, and was elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa. He received his medical degree from New York University Medical School and completed his internship at King’s County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. He received his ophthalmology residency and fellowship training at Bellevue Hospital in New York City, NY. Dr. Greenman served during the Vietnam War as a Major in the U.S. Army at William Beaumont Hospital and at Fort Bragg.

Dr. Max Greenman’s specialties include Adult & Pediatric Ophthalmology, Laser Vision Correction, Cataract & Glaucoma Surgery and Eye Lid and Muscle Surgery, in addition to routine eye exams.

Dr. Max Greenman has published several medical papers relating to visual function and high blood pressure in diabetics. He served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Mercy Hospital and the Carolinas Medical Center. He is a Diplomate of the Academy of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the North Carolina Society of Eye Physicians.

Dr. Max Greenman has appeared on the radio with Henry Boggan discussing the latest topics in ophthalmology, and hosted a regular medical segment for a number of years on WBTV’S ‘Top of the Day’ program with Barbara McKay and the late C.J. Underwood. He also appeared many times on ‘PM Magazine’ with Bob Lacey and Moira Quinn and has recently appeared on WTVI’s ‘Healthwise’ program.
